Manatee County Libraries Build a Better World Summer Youth Events

  • When: Wednesday, June 21, 2017 - All Day Event
  • Location: Manatee County Libraries
  • Cost: FREE

Summer is here, and Manatee Libraries has a line up full of fun and educational activities. With our “Build a Better World” theme, our librarians have scheduled programming focused on
building new skills or just plain building. Learn how to code, create a lego extravaganza, join our block fests or sharpen your skills in art, music and science. Ever wanted to learn how to sew?

Palmetto is offering weekly sewing classes. Our wide-ranging programming includes robotics and coding for tweens, science experiments, astronomy classes and our first week-long summer
coding camp for teens. We’re also offering a Harry Potter “Choose a House” reading challengeand bringing back the Reading With the Rays Program to be “kicked off” for the third year in a
row by the Rays’ Third Baseman, Evan Longoria!

We hope you’ll visit with us often this summer at one or more of our six locations.
