A Children’s Yoga instructor leads a yoga class for children between the ages of 5 and 12. Younger children are permitted to join with instructors approval but parent should remain with child for the duration of class. Program fosters love, community and generosity in its approach to teaching. Mindfulness training will center around deep diaphragmatic breathing through the nose, which helps kids calm themselves by engaging the parasympathetic nervous system to counteract feelings of anxiety. Through yoga, kids develop awareness, love and connection to themselves and to their community.
